SASEC Tourism Development Project ADB TA No: 6362
The Project objectives are to contribute to economic growth and the reduction of poverty in SASEC countries by enhancing the positioning, in both intraregional and interregional markets, as one of the world’s leading tourism destinations for Buddhist circuits and nature and culture-based ecotourism. The essential task of this TA is to assess the feasibility of and design a comprehensive project for possible ADB financing of a package of priority investments in tourism-related infrastructure and facilities. METCON have provided services of 20 National Consultants and 5 regional consultants covering areas tourism infrastructure (road, water supply and sanitation, airports) tourism destinations, financial analysis, private partnership and environment, tourism planning, community outreach.
Location : Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Srilanka.
