Preparing the Secondary Towns Integrated Urban Environmental Improvement Project

The Project objectives are (i) feasibility study for integrated urban environmental improvement and supplementary urban facilities; (ii) formulation of appropriate institutional and implementation framework; (iii) selection of target secondary towns with high economic growth potential and urgent needs for investment of urban infrastructure and services and (iv) The investment package for subprojects will ne prepared covering water supply, sanitation, drainage and solid waste management, and supplementary urban facilities such as urban road, bus terminals, city parks and markets. METCON provided the expertise services covering urban planning, water supply and sanitation/waste management, municipal infrastructure planning, economic/financial analysis, institutional development, environment management, and social, gender and poverty assessment.
