Identification and Prioritization of Sub-Regional Projects (Tourism Sector) in South Asia ADB RETA: 5936

The Project aims to support Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal (i) in identifying potential sub-regional programmes, and projects of cross-border benefits : (ii) assisting the countries in addressing key cross- border coordination issues: (iii) supporting the main agencies and organizations these can facilitate economic cooperation of four countries. METCON has undertaken complete study for preparation of papers under following issues to be addressed: (i) opportunities for better facilities of travel to and within the SASEC region including air and land access, easy visa and other formalities, (ii) opportunities for exploring an experience in spirituality in the SASEC region as a holistic eco-tourism activity, and (iii) investments opportunities for tourism projects and human resource development needs for tourism in the SASEC regions.
